Angela Mannella-Hoffman started her professional performing career at age 8.
Her theater credits include, The Guthrie Theater, Shakespeare and Company MN, Hennepin Stages, MN Shakespeare Project, The Children’s Theater Company and many other regional theaters.
Her dance credits include, Paul McCartney’s “Back in the US” tour, The Nutcracker Fantasy, The Super Bowl Half-Time Show and many plays and industrials in which she was the dance captain.
Angela has acted in over 300 commercials including being the spokesperson for American Furniture and Appliances. Her voice can be heard on the radio, websites and training videos.
Angela started teaching dance over 20 years ago and has taught at many different studios throughout the Twin Cities.
She is the co-host of the podcast, "Elevate Your Studio" and is featured in the book, "Dance Studio Secrets" by Clint Salter.
Angela and her husband, Tim have a 12 year old son Vincent.
Haruna first started dancing at Omaha Academy of Ballet in her hometown, Omaha, Nebraska.
In 2010, she moved to London to train at Laban Conservatoire of Contemporary Dance and went on to graduate with her BA (Hons) degree in Dance at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance.
Professionally, Haruna has danced with Atelier Teatro Danza in Italy, Moving Company, Omaha Dance Project, Maya Taylor Dance Company, TBD Dance Collective, Metropolitan Ballet and Minneapolis Ballet Dancers, where she has danced both contemporary and classical works. Some of her favorite roles include Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, Cygnets in Swan Lake, Autumn Fairy in Cinderella and Friends in Romeo and Juliet. Today, she teaches ballet and contemporary modern technique at several studios around the Twin Cities and continues to perform as a freelance dancer.
Hanna's love for dance began at the age of 6. She began her dance training at Yackel Dance Studio in the Twin Cities. As a competitive dancer for 11 years, she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and hip hop. Her studio won many regional and national competitions. After high school, Hanna attended the University of St. Thomas and was a member of their dance team for 4 years. The Dance Team brought home 5 National Titles.
She graduated in 2017 with her B.A in Elementary Education and B.A in Spanish. Hanna began her dance teaching career during her first year of college at Yackel Studio. Besides teaching at MTD, Hanna coaches the Eastview Fall Dance Team. She begins her first season at Moore Than Dance and is thrilled to be a part of the MTD community!
Lily Conforti is an artist from the twin cities, currently pursuing degrees in Dance and Physiology at the University of Minnesota. Lily has 13 years of dance training from Escalate Dance and Theater Studio where she competed both locally and nationally. Since then, Lily’s work has been performed in the University of Minnesota's BLUEPRINT show, FUTURE INTERSTATES curated by HAIJAK, ArtBox's annual show INBOX@ARTBOX, and a fifty minuet show in the FRINGE FESTIVAL titled Botanical Dancing. She has performed works choreographed by Carl Flink of BLM dance company, Kjara Wurst, and other local dance artist. As an artist, Lily is interested in articulated movement. Seeing and feeling the groove is an important aspect of her work.
Selena has always had a love for dancing, singing, acting, and the arts in general. She started dancing when she was 4 years old. After taking a long break from formal training she found herself dancing again but this time in plays as a feature dancer and dance captain. She is also trained in classical voice, piano, and clarinet.
She has been training under the guidance of Angela Mannella-Hoffman, the owner of Moore Than Dance since 2010. When Moore than Dance was first opened she was trained in the assisting and teaching techniques unique to Moore Than Dance. Her training took place at J and L dance studio, Camden music school, Fridley Middle and High school, River Fall Dance Theater and Drama Program, and of course Moore Than Dance.
Selena was also trained in Chicago by the Acrobatic Arts program that is based out of Canada. She passed her written and demonstrative exam with 100% and is a certified teacher for the tumbling and acrobatic classes now offered at Moore Than Dance.
Originally from Fargo, ND, Grace Kidder began her love affair with dance at the age of five. She trained in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and modern at Inspire Dance and Wellness Studios, before going on to graduate from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance. During her time there, she performed with the American Spirit Dance Company as a featured dancer, vocalist, and line captain. Grace also trained and performed in New York City during the Summer Professional Semester with Broadway Dance Center.
In addition to various dance performances, Grace has performed in multiple musicals and has several choreographic credits under her belt. Currently, she teaches musical theatre, tap, jazz, and Latin at various studios throughout the Twin Cities and performs with Collide Theatrical Dance Company.
